Cookie settings
Visitors detected in Switzerland are not shown an automatic cookie prompt. Optional analytics and advertising remain off unless you enable them in Cookie settings in the footer. Existing choices are still respected. Elsewhere, or if the connection country cannot be determined, a compact prompt appears after about three seconds.
Choose “Essential only” to decline optional analytics and advertising, or “Allow all” to enable both. Open “Settings” for analytics-only permission, anonymous-statistics controls and further information. Closing the prompt, scrolling and changing the delivery country do not grant permission. You can change or withdraw your choice from the footer at any time.
Our host supplies the connection country for this display decision; it is not your selected delivery country. This check sets no tracking cookie or location history. Anonymous visit totals remain separate, with an objection control under “Anonymous statistics”. Your deliberate consent choices are passed to Shopify checkout.
Cookie-free visit statistics
GORPED counts visits and pageviews whether you accept or decline optional analytics cookies. This separate counter sends no visitor identifier and uses no analytics cookies, local storage, session storage or fingerprint. It stores only daily totals and separate counts by public page, entry source, connection country or broad device type. These counts are not connected to customer or order records.
Navigation is grouped only within the current page document, with a new estimated visit after 30 minutes without a counted page change. Reloads, new tabs and returns from checkout may count again. Paid order totals are compared with estimated visits at aggregate level; this does not identify which anonymous visit purchased.
You can object to this counting by opening Cookie settings, opening Settings and turning off Anonymous statistics. That preference is saved in the gorped-statistics cookie for six months. A short-lived network-based counter is used only to limit abusive requests and expires within 60 seconds; it is never used to recognize visitors. Aggregate counts are retained for 400 days.
Optional analytics
If you choose Analytics only, GORPED and Shopify measure visits, product views, cart additions and checkout activity. GORPED uses a random browser identifier, traffic-source tags, landing pages, device type and connection country to understand which visits lead to paid orders. We do not store names, email addresses, postal addresses or raw IP addresses in this analytics database.
A session lasts until 30 minutes of inactivity. The GORPED attribution record in local storage (gorped-attribution-v1) expires after 30 days. Pseudonymous server session records expire after 90 days; daily totals and minimal paid-order records after 400 days. A signed reference connects a consented session to its Shopify order. Within the 30-day attribution window, we also count observed visits in that browser and the time from its first measured visit to purchase. The visit number and first measured visit time are added to the Shopify order. The browser journey index expires after 30 days without a new measured session; session snapshots expire after 90 days and paid-order snapshots after 400 days. Paid orders without an attributed session are counted separately.
Service providers
Shopify supplies commerce services and consented storefront analytics. Our website and analytics endpoints run on Vercel; aggregate analytics and pseudonymous session data are stored with Upstash. The GORPED storefront loads the Meta advertising pixel only with advertising permission. Google Analytics is not currently connected. See Advertising & your choice below.
Your choices
Choose Essential only to browse without optional analytics cookies and visitor attribution; cookie-free aggregate counts remain enabled unless you turn them off separately, or Analytics only to enable measurement. You can change this at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Your choice is stored for six months. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics collection and removes the GORPED attribution record from that browser; it does not undo previously aggregated totals.
You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Order and payment records needed to fulfil your purchase are handled independently of optional analytics.

Advertising & your choice
Updated 10 September 2026. Saftladen GmbH uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) on gorped.com only after you choose “Allow all”. “Analytics only” does not authorise advertising. “Essential only” declines optional analytics and advertising. A previous analytics-only choice is not treated as permission for Meta.
With advertising permission, Meta receives public page and product views, cart actions, product identifiers, prices and currencies, event identifiers, browser and connection information such as IP address, and advertising click/cookie identifiers. These are used to measure advertising, attribute conversions and personalise ads. The storefront does not send review text, order-lookup entries or form contents to Meta.
Our Shopify Facebook & Instagram integration also uses the Meta Pixel, advanced matching and Conversions API for checkout and purchase measurement. With permission, Shopify can share order and customer matching information, including name, email, phone and location, with Meta. This can link an event to a Meta account. Hashing matching information does not make it anonymous. The data may be processed outside Switzerland and the EEA, including in the United States, under the applicable provider transfer arrangements.
The GDPR basis for this optional tracking is consent. Advertising sharing can qualify as “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising under applicable US privacy laws. Global Privacy Control disables advertising on our storefront, even if an earlier choice permitted it. Open Cookie settings in the footer and select “Analytics only” or “Essential only” to withdraw advertising permission. We stop new storefront advertising events and pass the choice to Shopify checkout. You can also use the Shopify privacy form for account-related opt-outs. Withdrawal does not erase previously collected records.
The essential gorped-consent-v2 cookie remembers the separate choices for six months. Meta may set _fbp and _fbc browser identifiers, generally for up to 90 days; browser restrictions may shorten this. Meta controls retention of received information according to its policies. See Meta’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Cookie Policy and Shopify’s Privacy Policy. For a privacy request, contact office@gorped.com.
