Browser choices

Use Cookie settings below or in the footer to accept or reject optional analytics. Anonymous visit totals have a separate control in the same panel. These preferences apply to this browser.

We do not sell customer data for money. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, and some uses of information for advertising may count as sharing or targeted advertising under US law. You can opt out with the Shopify data-sharing form or email office@gorped.com. For Shopify’s independent processing, use Shopify’s privacy portal. Applicable Global Privacy Control signals are also honoured by Shopify. “Analytics only” sends marketing and advertising data-sharing permission as off; “Allow all” also permits the advertising described below.

Requests about your personal information

Email office@gorped.com for access, correction, deletion, an objection or another applicable privacy request. Tell us enough to locate your information, such as the email used for an order; do not send passwords or full payment details.

We may need to verify your identity proportionately. You can use an authorised representative where applicable law permits. If we decline a request, you may ask us to review that decision. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

Further details, retention periods and supervisory-authority contacts are in our Privacy policy.

Shop statistics without advertising

Updated 17 September 2026. Declining optional cookies stops optional browser attribution and advertising pixels. Separate first-party counters continue to measure visits, page views, product views, successful cart additions, checkout handoffs and clicks from our articles to the shop. Separate totals compare the displayed light or dark theme and active viewing time while a page is visible, pausing after 60 seconds without interaction. They are on by default and include visitors who decline optional cookies. You can switch these counters off under “Anonymous statistics” in Cookie settings.

These requests omit cookies and referrers. They contain a public page path and a fixed counter type; theme activity can include light or dark, a view-start flag and whole seconds, without timestamps or identifiers; entry counts can also include a broad source and medium. We save daily totals, including broad country and device categories, with no visitor identifier, persistent browser storage, browsing-history record or link to an individual order. A rotating network hash is used only for abuse protection and expires after 60 seconds. Aggregate totals expire after 400 days.

Paid-order totals come separately from Shopify to operate the shop and measure sales. Dividing these orders by estimated visits gives an approximate purchase rate. It does not identify who bought, how many visits preceded a purchase, or which anonymous visit led to an order. Repeat-visit attribution and the theme conversion experiment still require analytics permission.

Theme comparison

With analytics permission, eligible browsers are assigned at random to a light or dark default so we can compare completed purchases within seven days. We use the existing consented GORPED browser identifier; no experiment identifier is added for visitors who decline analytics. A saved theme preference is respected, and you can still switch theme. Purchases are grouped by original assignment even after a switch.

The assignment is stored with gorped-attribution-v1 in local storage. Enrollment renews its expiry to 30 days from assignment so returning visits stay in the same group. Pseudonymous experiment records expire after 90 days and aggregate results after 400 days. Withdrawing analytics permission removes the stored assignment and stops new experiment events; previously recorded aggregates remain. Anonymous theme-usage and viewing-time totals are separate from this test. They reflect the displayed theme and do not link a view to a customer or order.

Advertising & your choice

Updated 10 September 2026. Saftladen GmbH uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) on gorped.com only after you choose “Allow all”. “Analytics only” does not authorise advertising. “Essential only” declines optional analytics and advertising. A previous analytics-only choice is not treated as permission for Meta.

With advertising permission, Meta receives public page and product views, cart actions, product identifiers, prices and currencies, event identifiers, browser and connection information such as IP address, and advertising click/cookie identifiers. These are used to measure advertising, attribute conversions and personalise ads. The storefront does not send review text, order-lookup entries or form contents to Meta.

Our Shopify Facebook & Instagram integration also uses the Meta Pixel, advanced matching and Conversions API for checkout and purchase measurement. With permission, Shopify can share order and customer matching information, including name, email, phone and location, with Meta. This can link an event to a Meta account. Hashing matching information does not make it anonymous. The data may be processed outside Switzerland and the EEA, including in the United States, under the applicable provider transfer arrangements.

The GDPR basis for this optional tracking is consent. Advertising sharing can qualify as “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising under applicable US privacy laws. Global Privacy Control disables advertising on our storefront, even if an earlier choice permitted it. Open Cookie settings in the footer and select “Analytics only” or “Essential only” to withdraw advertising permission. We stop new storefront advertising events and pass the choice to Shopify checkout. You can also use the Shopify privacy form for account-related opt-outs. Withdrawal does not erase previously collected records.

The essential gorped-consent-v2 cookie remembers the separate choices for six months. Meta may set _fbp and _fbc browser identifiers, generally for up to 90 days; browser restrictions may shorten this. Meta controls retention of received information according to its policies. See Meta’s Privacy Policy, Meta’s Cookie Policy and Shopify’s Privacy Policy. For a privacy request, contact office@gorped.com.
